Fresnohub Reader Review, submitted April 10, 2005: Absolutely the best dining experience and most elegant interior among all local Chinese restaurants. Good authentic chinese gourmet cooking. Must try their Chicken Salad, fried calamari, walnut shrimps, braised green beans, orange chicken and any sizzling platters. Plenty of food to select from the menu. Another compliment goes to the well response and friendly servers and management for their willingness to 'customize' certain dishes for our friends.
Our Review: Joy Luck is a fine looking Chinese restaurant with modern decor and purple walls. Our experience was that some of their dishes could be hit-or-miss. Nice atmosphere and good service.
For example, their Joy Luck Nine Flavors Beef (under House Specialties) was a miss. Nothing really special in the nine flavors, nothing more than soy sauce, garlic, ginger, onions, green onions, bamboo shoots, mushrooms.
Nevertheless, its location in Villagio shopping complex makes it convenient and provides an alternative for dining.
